ABOUT

TripsGala

TripsGala is spelt with an s. We are not connected to TripGala, a different company. More on the difference.

Barlako Enterprises LLP was registered in India on 1 July 2013. TripsGala began in 2014 as its first venture, built around a single question: why do people return from extraordinary trips feeling nothing has changed.

For more than a decade we designed journeys. Quietly, through referral alone, for the kind of traveler who had been everywhere and still felt they had not arrived. We did not advertise. We did not need to. The clients who found us were the right ones, and they told the right people, and that was enough.

In that time, we arrived at something the travel industry has never quite resolved: the journey a person needs is rarely the journey they ask for. The destination matters less than what a person brings to it, and what they are ready to receive from it. We became, over time, students of that question.

What we have built since is a way to answer that question, one traveler at a time, for as many as ask.

The Soul Compass is where every journey begins: a free six-minute set of questions about where you would like to go (or whether you would rather we choose), how you feel, what you need from the trip and how you like to travel. The Living Proposal is your personal day-by-day itinerary, and you can change it for eight days before it is confirmed. The Shadow Itinerary is a replacement journey of equal quality, prepared alongside every trip: if your destination becomes unsafe within 14 days of departure, it is ready within four hours. The Sentinel Protocol is our watch on safety and conditions around you throughout the trip. The Obsidian Token arrives after the journey: a written keepsake built from your answers before and after the trip.

The thinking behind all of this is not new. The infrastructure to deliver it at scale is.

A.H. Shervani founded and built the systems described here. He is still the Head Curator.

If you are reading this, the next step is the Soul Compass. There is no other entry.
